Earlier this week, the Community College of Aurora was honored to host the State of Colorado Department of Higher Education and Colorado Department of Education Financial Aid Training. Dr. Mordecai welcomed attendees and spoke about how critical HB22-1366 is to improving post secondary access and economic mobility in Colorado.
On Saturday, May 27th, Dr. Mordecai was honored to represent the Community College of Aurora at the 10th Annual Colorado Freedom Memorial service. Thank you to all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Continued prayers for the loved ones of our fallen and missing in action service members.

This past weekend, Dr. Mordecai and his family represented the Community College of Aurora at the Colorado State University’s Spring Scrimmage Football Game.
On today, Dr. Mordecai testified to the State of Colorado Committee of Higher Education regarding House Bill 23-1246. The testimony was successful and now the house bill has moved to appropriations for further consideration. On yesterday, the Community College of Aurora was honor to host the new Consulado General de México en Denver, Pável Meléndez Cruz. Dr, Mordecai and Consul General Cruz talked partnership, continued commitment to the IME BECAS Scholarship Program, and new synergies to transform the lives of students from Mexican descent at the Community College of Aurora.
